AO1: Articulate informed, personal and creative responses to literary texts, using associated concepts and terminology, and coherent, accurate written expression. AO2: Analyse ways in which meanings are shaped in literary texts.
From what I'm aware, it is 2 pieces of coursework each worth 30 marks, for a total of 60 marks. They are worth up to 80 UMS (40% of the entire award). Coursework is marked considerably harsher with much higher grade boundaries than the actual exam.

In Paper 2 was two marks off an A* whereas in Paper 1, I was 4 marks off an A. To break it down, my scores on each essay were as follows: Paper 1: Othello - 17/25. Unseen Poetry - 15/25 (moderated down by 2 marks)
Option 2B: Modern times: literature from 1945 to the present day. Study of three texts: one prose, one poetry, and one drama, of which one must be written post-2000. Examination will include an unseen prose extract. Assessed. written exam: 2 hours 30 minutes.
